The right size changes everything: a thong that stays put, a bikini top that supports you, a bodysuit that moves with you. Here is how to measure yourself in five minutes and read our size tables with confidence.
What you need
- A soft measuring tape (in inches or centimeters)
- A mirror, or someone to help
- A thin, non-padded bra or no bra at all
The four measurements
1. Bust
Stand straight and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level all the way around your back. It should sit flat, not tight.
2. Under bust
Measure directly under your bust, where a bra band sits. Keep the tape snug and level. This number matters most for bikini tops and bras, because the band carries most of the support.
3. Waist
Find your natural waist, usually the narrowest point, just above your belly button. Relax and breathe out normally before you read the tape.
4. Hips
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
How to read our size tables
Each product page has its own table under Size & fit, in inches first and centimeters underneath. These are body measurements provided by the supplier, so compare them with your measurements, not with a garment you already own.
- Panties and bottoms: start with your hip measurement, then check the waist.
- Bikini tops and bras: start with your under bust, then check the bust.
- Bodysuits, one-pieces and swim dresses: check bust, waist and hips. Choose the size that fits your largest measurement.
Between two sizes?
- For a secure fit (swimwear you will swim in), choose the smaller size if the fabric is stretchy.
- For comfort (lingerie you will wear all day), choose the larger size.
- Some styles run slightly large or small. When the supplier tells us, we say so on the product page. Always read that note.
Still unsure?
